Things to be aware of;

• The first thing I would recommend is stay away from out of state mortgage brokers that can be found on the internet.  I have not closed but maybe four loans out of hundreds that were derived from the internet that were not extremely high in charges.  I just closed a loan today which was derived from the internet and the closing cost were 2 to 4 thousand dollars to much. That is a lot of equity to throw away to a greedy mortgage broker and loan officer.

• Mortgage Companies Most Commonly Used Tactics are The Same As Many Other Big Item Sales.

• Last Minute Rush To Closing and Sign Now Or This Interest Rate Is Gone For Ever! 

It may very well be true that this interest rate will be gone for ever,  but remember they knew about the extra charges and/or changes that you were going to face at closing well before your closing docs were prepared.

Why are you, the most important person in this transaction finding out last about these added cost.

• The next tactic is to draw it out and wear you out.  When this happens something will always come up that will make it necessary to raise your interest rate and increase your closing cost.

You are now simply to tired to start over. All but a very few individuals setting across the closing table said to me, some in serious rage,
